  • Soak a cotton ball in 3 percent hydrogen peroxide and dab around the nails several times a day.
  • Massage Vicks VapoRub into the nail before bed; cover with cotton gloves; repeat for 10 days.
  • Use Dr.Scholl's over-the-counter fungal medication.
  • If it doesn't clear up, see a doctor. You may need a prescription antifungal medicine.
